But there is no oxygen in space, so the satellite that breaks the laws of physics, couldn’t explode... Anyway times like this are why Robin's boots have so many straps on them. It was fun to draw though. Although that might just be me getting some revenge on Robin.

Physics? "Splosions are cool" is a better law. And I'm sure that one isn't being broken by the satellite.

ya following the rule of cool or the rule of funny explains most things in the comic.

Robin doesn't look happy. Of course, I wouldn't be happy either. Of course, she's in a comic that breaks the fourth wall, what did she expect? ;)

Low earth orbit perhaps? Either way with the existence of mad science, the regular boring kind is out the door!
The title of this comic is gut-busting.

nuclear reactors are incredibly easy to keep stable compared to anything powered by mad science.

nuclear reactors are relatively safe AND stable. They don't seem to be so for the same reason airplane crashes generate fear of flying. The consequences of failure are more drastic and newsworthy, than say a fire at a coal plant.

It is my understanding that while the end result of a nuclear reactor is very stable it is because of a lot of safety measures. in fact the sheer volume is mildly staggering. i guess i should have used a metaphor that had both few things to prevent a bad outcome and a high chance of said bad outcome, like when a student tries to carbonate cheep booze under their bed.
