And thus returns Sparky

Finally got some interweb. Now I can read this again. Looooove the new hair. Sparky's not Robin's. But no like hers too.

What about his hair changed? It looks the same to me, thus the humor if he was using extensions rather then charity.
I am curious though who likes which look on which character best?

Suddenly... Books Don't Work Here dress-up game.

6th Mar 2012, 1:51 AM edit delete reply

I think i might alienate some people if i changed their look that often but it would be nice to know what works and what doesn't, so i don't leave Robin with the swirly above her eye for 100 pages if everyone hates it. These are the kinds of questions that keep me up at night;) along with are can people not see the shading on Robins pants if there screens have different color ratios then mine?

I meant, literally make a little Flash thing with bodies, hairstyles, each one fully colourable, every different article of clothing to appear in the comic so far (and maybe some that haven't)... Suddenly Sparky wearing female shirts.

I don't have a very good artistic eye, so if I miss something, that's no worry. Actually, let me alter that a little: I just don't have very good eyes.
It's when other people start missing things that you might want to start worrying.
This is all to say, I didn't notice anything on the pants. Until you mentioned it, now it's perfectly clear to me. So the main issue, really, is that I just don't look at this stuff, I don't notice a lot of this detail. Though sometimes I pick up things that completely avoid everyone else...

Also, Robin's current hair is still cool. Not as awesome as her previous hair, but hey, I'll have to live with that.

EDIT: And I have your avatar to look at. ^_^

Ah now i understand. I've seen another comic do something like that with little tabs so you could print it out if you wanted. I could probably whip something like that up to use as a filler next time I need one.

And so it begins... And it's already going downhill.
Good luck Robin... Don't piss off the director too much, you'll need him on your side.

Also, her eyes in the first panel. :S
She's talking to Sparky, about his appearance, indicating she's looked at him. While it seems like she's opened the door with her gaze locked on Charity.
Except that her eyes are, in fact, looking at Sparky. It just looks really odd, that you'd glance sideways at someone you're letting in, rather than directly at them. Hmm... Well, I'd probably have to see a similar situation to see if people actually do it, but it definitely irks me here.

6th Mar 2012, 12:17 AM edit delete reply

She is meant to be looking and taking to Charity while opening the door (not looking to see sparky). Sparky just answers before charity can.

6th Mar 2012, 12:27 AM edit delete reply

Oh. Little "well" from Charity in the first panel. Completely missed that last time round. Derp.

Also... About donation rewards...

6th Mar 2012, 1:04 AM edit delete reply

the "well" was totally there before yep... Ok so i debated about putting it in and decided against it the first time around but live and learn. I might want to add some more contrast to the border so you can see that it is pink but that is a small thing.

As for donation rewards I have had rewards for the kickstarter campaigns ( and will be doing one to sell shirts again when i think it has a chance to succeed) Also while i don't think I've said anything on the site about it till now I'm planing on handing out a wallpaper for donations of at least $10 soon. I welcome any and all feed back on what people would want (in a wallpaper or other type of reward). I'm also running low on avatar's and extras and will need to do something about that soon but don't think that will fit in the paypal button with the $10 wallpaper.

6th Mar 2012, 1:24 AM edit delete reply

I would totally pay to be an extra!

6th Mar 2012, 1:37 AM edit delete reply

Hmm... Well I would like to be an avatar. Just 'cause I want to shadow Twitchy in case he tries to sell us out (again).

But hey, ultimately, it's a -donation-, so if I don't get anything from it, I won't mind. It's not like I can truly claim anything in return for it.

6th Mar 2012, 1:53 AM edit delete reply

I'm unsure where I would want to draw the line for donation outside kickstarter as far as avatars go ( I don't want to make the kickstarter campaigns that need to reach a goal a worse deal, or (however unlikely) get more donations then i can handle avatars). For now though I have had a few people who blew me away with their generosity (not that is all that hard to do but still they are awesome). I have offered them avatars already (just about to email another in fact), from the timing I'm betting it's you. might freak out the nice reader if i just assumed that in the email though.

6th Mar 2012, 2:12 AM edit delete reply

Umm... Where are you getting the e-mail address from? If it's coming from Paypal, that won't be my address.

6th Mar 2012, 2:16 AM edit delete reply

One of my friends donated via paypal and i recognized their email address so i assumed the emails would be reliable. I just sent the email so if it was you and if you did not get my email feel free to email me at and I'm sure we can work it out.

6th Mar 2012, 2:32 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, it's fine. It's just that I get my mum to do the payments, since her Paypal account goes through instantly. (Because credit cards and blah blah blah blah.) In short, I can't be bothered having cash sitting in limbo in Paypal, when I could have it in my bank completely available, and just pass it through my mum when I need it.

Been there, although once i turned 16 and could drive and added errands for the family business to picking up school supplies and such for me they got me a credit card. I still remember the look on the guys face the first time I walked into the post office in pajama bottoms and a geeky t-shirt and asked them to charge $1500 of stamps on the card :)

Your life sounds distinctly more interesting than mine. Best I've done... I've mostly just avoided drawing attention to myself as much as possible. Though, one recent event... If I'd been 2 seconds ahead, I'd have got the bus. Instead, I sprinted alongside it for 3-5 seconds as it pulled out. And by "alongside it", I mean, average, our centres (depth) were aligned.

Anyway, I'll resolve the e-mail in a sec.

6th Mar 2012, 2:56 AM edit delete reply

Having an interesting life is easy. All it takes is jumping on every interesting opportunity life brings your way, being willing to die 15 times in the process, and an eye for presentation.

6th Mar 2012, 3:05 AM edit delete reply

Lots of thinking is counter-productive to such an interesting life. :(
So now I try to make all my thinking promote this instead. It works reasonably well.

Also, I found the comment feed.

I don't think Sparky had knocked yet, the girls were just leaving at a coincidentally convenient time. Which would explain Robin not looking at Sparky, and her surprised look in panel 3.

That was what I was going for, and why I left out any knocking sounds. Though if anyone can think of a que that he had not knocked yet i could put that in too. not sure what not knocking sounds like though.

It sounds like a one handed clap.

8th Mar 2012, 7:12 PM edit delete reply

Is there an onomatopoeia for that?

8th Mar 2012, 8:41 PM edit delete reply

"Cl" or "Ap"
Depends on the hand.
