The tool I use to make the word bubbles broke today for some reason. All the other tools worked but I couldn’t select the little oval. So I thought I would save and restart gimp and see if that would help. It did not. In fact it flattened all my layers (20 something of them). I was mostly done but finishing the last 25% with out being able to move anything else took a lot more time. I think I might have to bike down to the perch and get a pizza Tomorrow to cheer my self up. Well that and I need to spend some time working out the kinks in the next part of the script and I thought since I was going to spend some time writing which I can do anywhere I might as well make the journey and be a bit social.
i use gimp instead of photo shop not that there is much difference. first i get the words on the page with the text tool then i go to a new layer and use the ellipse select tool to make the bubble. after that i add a path so we know ho is speaking and mess with the curves on the path to make it look a bit better. i might play around with that style later but i like it for now. once i have the path i add it to selection and fill it all in with white if need be and then stroke the selection with two pickles of black. then i go and triple check spelling and hope i got it right.
well since you were so nice to comment on the 4th wall approach i take to the comic i don't want to repay your compliment with spoilers... Although you could have just meant the 4th page. in that case < spoiler alert> she falls. she complains about falling, yet for some reason that doesn't stop her from falling. something else came after the falling but i wouldn't want to give everything away.
