everyone and a while you get a page that takes forever to make. This was one of those pages. Most of it was due to the new characters not having references already figured out. They both have thicker shoulders then any character in the comic so far. Which meant using shoulder with to determine head size didn’t work. I ended up going with something around 137% of a real life head size but it was a pain to calculate and I'm still not sure if I will tweak it on later NPCs or not. The backgrounds also take a while. Not because they are incredibly complex or anything (although drawing things from any non straight on perspective makes it a lot harder), but because it was all done with a mouse. Mice don't do diagonals or curves very well so something as simple as drawing a circle can take 5 min to get right. Either because you do it over 60 times till you get lucky or because you go and erase pickles to correct it.

Green hair? Why it must be me!

cool pic but sadly right now the identity of the person the character is "not" based on is classified. I would have sent you a pm if it was you though. you and all my wonderful fans will get a chance to have an avatar of your vary own soon.

Wow! What an interesting element to incorporate into the world. I suppose in the beginning Robin was introduced as a web-comic actor. But this is outside of expectations. Hats off to you.

Is the 'A' belt buckle a generic avatar symbol? Is so Avatars seem to be the wizards of this world, to draw an analogy from the hilarious Terry Prachet. No one wants to mess with them, their have a key identifiable feature(that's easy to fake), but if an avatar finds you out with an 'A' belt buckle your in for it.

I love the fact you mentioned Terry- Pratchet. If I had a super power it would be serendipity. My school's current play is Maskerade.... Not really important in context with this comic.... But... yeah no I got nothing. Bravo agin Kai for adding yet another wonderfully unsuspected and rather original idea to this table of... originality? Something like that.

That would be so amazing(if its done well, but that's how it always is.) But yeah Prachet is one of my all time favorite writers. I like him mainly because his books are so approachable(if someone points you to the first one in the respective series). I've used them to convince many people that reading can be fun. I need to do my part to counteract the likes of Jersy Shore.(granted the most I know about the show is that its so bad I can't last an episode.)

I'm glad you liked the idea. Ive been waiting to introduce this one for a while. now i have one less time on the list of things I'm itching to show in the comic. there will be another good one before the flash back is done.
as for the A ya its the symbol of the avatars. it doesn't have to be a belt buckle really anything with a big A on it will work. after all they are first class citizens amongst NPCs who is going to tell then no. as for how easily it is to fake its not much of an issue (except for the times it would be funny and dramatic for the plot of course. the common man has a few things stopping him form imatateing an avatar. the first being that the avatars have a lot of power will make you regret it. the second is a rather nosy god who will rat you out if not smite you himself. there are also two other big factors one which will be reviled in this chapter and the other in the next. considering how this world works they are both logical conclusions though.

Wonderful page! I loved the avatar from the real world bit. Another amazing way to break the fourth wall and keep the story engaging. Look forward to seeing where you take this. :)

glad you like it. i spend a lot of time thinking of new ways to break the 4th wall interestingly. I'm still hammering out the details on a few for chapter 4 but there are some nifty ones that will come up in chapter three still.

Nicely done. Just finished making it through your archives and I love the irreverence in the strip. I think I liked the art in the earlier black and white comics a bit better though. This particular one... the idea is fantastic and kudos for introducing something new but the art isn't up to your regular standards. I look forward to reading more!

i guess i have a couple of questions in order to get the most out of your constructive criticism. which black and white ones (ie the first 3 pages with the smaller head or somewhere in the evolution beyond that)? also what in this page is sub-par. I personally am not happy white the backgrounds and the white on the edges of some of the lines. the rest of the figures look pretty good though i think.
