So here is the first real extra to appear on panel. For those you you keeping track the different classes in BDWH society so far are NPC, extra, avatar, mad scientist, and main character. There will be a few more factions and one more class appearing later but I don't want to spoil the surprise.

Love how you are breaking the factions apart along with the breaking of the fourth wall. They work so well together. :)

i have always enjoyed literary reconstruction. i grew up reading a lot of genera fiction and people really enjoy deconstruction that and pointing out the inconsistencies or just plane ridicules ramifications or oversights that tend to get made. I like taking those ramifications and running with them and seeing how a world with odd quirks would actually work. once i took out the 4th wall the classes and factions seemed like obvious ramifications.

Oh my. You did a really good job on the employee on this one. So glad you're getting settled on that tablet.

Oh and grammar error: "You come to the right place" should be "You came to the right place" or "You have come to the right place"

Hehe.. I love how Charity knows exactly what emotions she can expect from her gift.

I'm curious as to if culture and counter-culture parallel our world in BDWH. Or are the 'cultures' in question more related to the 'factions', or character types? Heres hoping one of the punchlines options is a fighters get up, it would be such a punishing joke. ^^

sadly drawing a full set of plate mail would take way too long for a single panel joke ( and set i have access to as a real life reference is a bit plain). as for the relationship between out culture and the culture in the comic world. it is based on ours originally. sometimes they develop a new twist on it after it is established in the world though. for example they have fast food restaurants that work the same as ours so jokes about fast food will be relevant to the readers. they added a avatar line in though so they would have to wait less.

I see, that is a pretty straightforward method to it. I'm gonna bet on some kind of extras underground dedicated to toppling the avatocracy. Failing that at least some kind of social movement.

Fighter doesn't necessarily connotate the days of old with chain link and axe. It could very well have been a boxers get up, or any other form of martial arts gi.

last part first i happen to be rather fond of the medial style of warrior i can't really help it i was raised by a fencing state champion ( 20 or so years running).

as for the first part I wouldn't undermine my own creation like that it would be evil. I mean sure if i just happened to turn evil it would be on the top of my things to do list... but last i checked I'm not evil (no full gotee).

Evil and pragmatic are separated by a very fine line. You shoul keep the idea on the back burner in case you need some chaos to distract some problematic cases...

I'll keep it in mind in case i stumble across a character with a full goatee.

Doesn't your avatar have a full goatee?
